Hallo!
Fuer alle Nutzer die Firefox oder Thunderbird von der /opt Platte nutzen
gibt es jetzt eine neue Wahlmoeglichkeit:
Mozilla bietet mit den sogenannten ESR (Extended Support Release)
Versionen jetzt wieder laenger gepflegte Versionen an.
Wer also gerne stabile Software nutzt, in der sich nicht alle 6 Wochen
viel aendert kann "/opt/bin/firefox-esr" bzw. "/opt/bin/thunderbird-esr"
verwenden.
Die heute neue 10er Version ist ein ESR Release, das naechste
ESR-Release wird erst die 17er Version sein. Bis dahin bekommt die
ESR-Version nur Sicherheitsupdates, aber keine neuen Funktionen.
"/opt/bin/firefox" und "/opt/bin/thunderbird" sind weiterhin die
aktuellste stabilen nicht-ESR Versionen.

For all users of firefox or thunderbird versions from the /opt disk
there is a new option to choose from:
Mozilla now provides ESR (Extended Support Release) versions of their
products.
Users who likes to have stable software without many changes every 6
weeks can now use "/opt/bin/firefox-esr" and "/opt/bin/thunderbird-esr".
The new Version 10 of both programs is also an ESR release, the next ESR
release will be in version 17. Until then, the ESR version will only get
security updates and no new features.
"/opt/bin/firefox" and "/opt/bin/thunderbird" will continue to be the
latest stable non-ESR versions.
