HORNET is a Cray XC40 with a new processor type and a peak performance of 3.786 PFlop/s. The first three days cover an introduction workshop about porting and optimizing your application for the Cray XC40. The topics of this workshop include the Cray Programming Environment, scientific libraries and profiling tools. Efficient Parallel I/O (Thursday, Mar. 5, 2015) ----------------------------------------------- The forth day is dedicated to user parallel IO at scale. Topics are I/O hardware aspects, parallel filesystems, several I/O strategies, serial I/O optimization, and I/O APIs such as MPI-IO, NetCDF, papallel-netCDF, HDF5, SIONLib, and ADIOS. Most of the discussed topics are independent of the specific hardware at HLRS. ---- You may register for the individual days in the registration form.
