CECAM Tutorial

"Programming Parallel Computers"

Febuary 11-15, 2008

Research Centre Juelich

This tutorial aims to provide a thorough introduction to parallel programming. After an overview of the basic parallel computing concepts the main part of the course will cover the use of the message-passing interface, MPI. The third part will give an introduction to shared-memory programming with OpenMP.

The tutorial is organised by the John von Neumann Institute for Computing (NIC) on behalf of the Centre Europeen de Calcul Atomique et Moleculaire (CECAM). It will be held at the Juelich Supercomuting Centre (JSC) of Research Centre Juelich, Germany.
