[Mllab] Fwd: Practical Lab Numerical Simulation, SoSe2019
Manche Studis müssen das mit dem CC wohl noch lernen... Yes I confirm that I want to register for the course. Sincerely, V.Lamprou On Thu, 7 Feb 2019 15:38:09 +0100 Jochen Garcke <garcke@ins.uni-bonn.de> wrote:
Dear Vaggelis Lamprou,
the programming language is python. You should have done a few simple things with python, numpy and matplotlib. Using some of the introductory tutorials available on the web for these beforehand would be useful.
We will do some more specific introduction in the beginning of the course.
It doesn't hurt to have some knowledge of the material in the numerics courses in second year of the bachelor in mathematics (both Einführung in Numerics) to have some more background. But we will explain the algorithms in the course.
Please confirm if you want to register for the course, so that we can put you on the list.
Regards, Jochen Garcke

Dear Prof. Dr. Jochen Garcke, My name is Vaggelis Lamprou, I am a master's student in mathematics and I am interested in the Lab course
"Algorithms in Machine Learning and their Application" that you are going to teach in the next semester. I would like to ask you what programming language we will use and about the required level of profiency in programming and in numerical mathematics. My programming skills are basic I would say, so I could study things I don't know in the break before the semester begins. Sincerely, V.Lamprou
