Course duration: 2 years (120 ECTS) Funding: several Erasmus Mundus scholarships are available AstroMundus is an international Master Course in Astronomy and Astrophysics that has been selected by the European Commission as an Erasmus Mundus Masters Course within the 2009-2013 edition of the Erasmus Mundus programme. The Masters course is open to students of all nationalities and is jointly offered by a consortium of 5 Universities in 4 different countries: --the Institute of Astro- and Particle Physics, University of Innsbruck (Austria), --the Department of Physics and Astronomy "Galileo Galilei", University of Padova (Italy), --the Astrophysics section of the Department of Physics, University of Rome "Tor Vergata" (Italy), --the Institute for Astrophysics, Faculty of Physics, University of Goettingen (Germany), --the Department of Astronomy, Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade (Serbia) Applications are now solicited for the Master course starting in September 2013. The programme has a duration of 2 years (120 ECTS credits) and is entirely taught in English. The wide variety of expertise covered by our international partnership insures an excellent educational level in all branches of Astrophysics. We invite applications from top-ranked students that either hold or are expected to obtain before August 2013 a Bachelor's Degree (or a recognized equivalent Degree that certifies a period of studies of at least 3 years, corresponding to 180 credits in the European Credit Transfer System) in Physics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Mathematics or closely related fields. A certified good knowledge of the English language is required. The selected students will carry out their studies in at least 2 and up to 4 of the AstroMundus consortium universities and will be finally awarded a Joint Master Degree, complemented with a Diploma Supplement, by all consortium universities they havestudied at. Several Erasmus Mundus scholarships are made available by the European Commissionto both European and non-European students. The selection of students is primarily based on excellence.
