Gavrila (Daimler Research & Development, University of Amsterdam) Title: Human-aware intelligent systems Abstract: Human-Aware Intelligent Systems, that interact smartly and effortlessly with a human-inhabited environment, represent the next frontier of information technology. They acquire sensor data, extract human-related information from the environment, engage in decision making, and act to make human lives more safe, comfortable and engaging. The talk covers research in this area at Daimler R&D and the Univ. of Amsterdam focusing on visual perception and machine learning.
